I expect the computing e^(a+b×i) will be available on the new model. I'm torn on this one. It's a great-looking calculator, and it's got the same style of keys as the fx-991CW (which are a joy to type on), but without Casio Basic, it's a tougher sell. Python is nice to have as an option, but it's generally not well integrated with built-in calculator features, and it's a language that involves a lot of typing that's not really optimized for a calculator keypad. So unless they've added some surprising new features to the spreadsheet, I'm not sure I'll be rushing right out to get one.

Let's say we have a 4x4 matrix with hyberbolic functions with complex arguments, multiplied by a scalar vector. Can the CG50/CG100 (future) do this? As far as I know, the HP Prime is the only one that can. edit: Confirmed by a Casio representative, the new CG100 will not natively support complex hyperbolic functions. Only exponential forms are supported as I expected. |
