Atari Calculator - official programmable RPN calculator for Atari 800
Full story of the Atari Calculator (1977-1982), the official Atari 800 calculator, programmed by Carol Shaw, now available on Wikipedia:
The first screenshot, published by Atari in 1979:

This version probably never released to the public, and there was no sales until November 1981.

The last screenshot, published by Atari in 1982:

This version was on sale since November 1981 (priced $29.95).

The source of the Collen Calculator (unreleased Atari Calculator successor ROM cartridge version), released by Carol Shaw in 2016:
Note, that in the article on Wikipedia also highlighted ports and alternatives (unofficial Atari software), with links to related topics on this forum:

Neat

I wish I had known about this in 1982, when I went to College in Hoboken, NJ in one of the first curriculums that required a computer purchase.

The computer chosen was the Atari 800. I think they offered a 400 as well, but I don't think anyone had one of those.

Correct, the Atari 400 was more affordable that the luxurious Atari 800, but it was with a very poor hard keyboard similar to the one found on the ZX81....

For this reason I prefered to buy a Commodore VIC20 that had a real and good keyboard and was into my teenager pocket money budget back then ....
