An Interesting Reference to HP (12C, 17B) Financial Calculators
An excerpt from How to Win in Commercial Real Estate Investing, page 13
ARMED AND EFFECTIVE - THE TANGIBLE TOOLS Have you ever tried to repair a door that is sticking without the right tools? … I really don't have the right tools - which only enhances how "not good" I am. I hire out all home repairs. When it comes to real estate investing, the opposite is true. I have all the tools. I know how and when to use them … I have found several that are absolutely indispensable to me as I look for property, analyze it, and ultimately quantify its' potential. Here's my list of tangible must-haves: HP12C or HP17B Calculator … Hewlett Packard got it right when it developed these classic 120-function calculators. They truly are designed for financial professionals and come with the ability to calculate the price of a property based on the capitalization rate, amortization, monthly payments, cash flow analysis, net present value, internal rate of return, and more, very quickly and easily. By the way, don't worry about what all these words mean right now; that will come later. Just know that with these calculators, you won't have to actually perform the mathematics behind these calculations BEST! SlideRule typo correction |

Quote:Hewlett Packard got it right when it developed these classic 120-function calculators. Yeah. The 12C must be the longest lived calculator in existence. Over 40 years. All the other Voyager models are long gone. Except for the 15C LE and CE "reboots". And the Swissmicros clones. It must've been designed right. A1 HP-15C (2234A02xxx), HP-16C (2403A02xxx), HP-15C CE (9CJ323-03xxx), HP-20S (2844A16xxx), HP-12C+ (9CJ251) |
