Possible bug in function app?

I plotted y = x^2 and its derivative into the function application using the template button for the d/dx(x^2)

Now instead of getting a y = 2*x line I get a line y = 0!

Is it possible that I have done something wrong?

That is interesting behaviour, it would be nice if the first method threw a error message instead of what it does do.
