Topcat Thermal Paper
What are good sources for thermal paper for the Topcat series of calculators? Past forum threads state that the black 82175A paper was too abrasive for the Topcats, yet a website well known to the forum (not eBay) is selling 82175A paper for the 92 and 97 even though earlier packaging specifically states that it's not for use on those models.
Ed: PMC-05233 appears to be popular. |

I use the Staples Thermal Calculator Rolls, 2 1/4" x 85' for my thermal printers/calculators (82143A,82162A,TopCat). It's working, but I do not known if it's too abrasive or not. |

It's working, but I do not known if it's too abrasive or not. Follow Up: Needed paper for a recently acquired 82240B. Went to the local Staples but they didn't have the 3-pack and the 9-pack was more than I wanted to spend and more rolls than I'd ever use. Right next to it was a 3-pack of 130 foot rolls and I remember reading about spooling off the excess and using it later. Check the label carefully. It must be thermal paper. On the plus side I now know how to take the printer apart. Edit: Look for my upcoming Classified for 2 1/2 rolls of 2.25 inch x 130 foot non-thermal paper. |
