Updating 7820 and crash. HELP.
Hi,
When updating FW 7820, I had omitted to update Virtual Prime, so first blue line appears but at 69 % :" Failure... Retry 1..2..3..4..5" and stop. Well I try once again but same thing "Failure ......", at this time i've disconnect the usb cable and the Prime became screen black, no response of key. Pressing "on" key had no effect. All manipulations like reset is no operating, like the batt is absent. Fortunately I've a second prime, this time i'd update the Virtual 7820 and all was perfect. Is my first prime definitively dead ? Is it a way to awake it ? I hope so, may be someone has a solution Thanks in advance. Gérard. Gérard. |

I guess you have nothing to lose right now.
Did you try Tim's procedures to force the machine into update mode? Jose Mesquita RadioMuseum.org member |

Connect the calculator to the computer. If your battery was completely drained, you will most likely be in the updater already. If not, put a pin in the back and continue holding SYMB. Once you are in the updater, open the connectivity kit. It will see the unit and let you try again. TW Although I work for HP, the views and opinions I post here are my own. |
