Square Root Error in Home View
Hello,
When I use square root sign (√) on a complex number with both real and imaginary parts are negative, the answer in Home View is not correct. There is no problem in CAS View or using y^x (x=0.5) in Home View. Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug? Thanks a lot. |

RE: Square Root Error in Home View
Looks like an issue, but I think has been resolved already. I suspect the ios version would do this correctly.

RE: Square Root Error in Home View
Hi Tim,
Confirmed the problem is solved with new firmware on the calculator, but not on the emulator. Cheer! |

Definitely not matching what I am seeing here (returning 2-3i in all ways). In your emulator menu "Help->About hp Prime" are you seeing the latest version? Might an old one being run? There should be no possibility for difference between the calc and emu here. TW Although I work for HP, the views and opinions I post here are my own. |

RE: Square Root Error in Home View
Thank you all!
It was the old version that I could not upgraded on Windows 7 only. Killersing |
