Not easy to find, Gerson, but I think I just located it. Have to use the OP function. Press
g OP (shifted CLX). Then you scroll way down almost to the bottom to find DSP MODE. By placing 1.4 in X prior to executing DSP mode I got thousands separators and fix to 4 decimal places. If I read the instructions correctly at:

It appears the type of separators (. ,) should be set automatically according to what country you are in. I'd be interested to know how that is working.

Thanks! With 1.9, for 12345678.9 I get on the display 123.456.789 , 90 as expected. This is nice, but I still can't find the comma|decimal point|auto selection which is mentioned in the update notice. Perhaps I just haven't searched enough.

Sorry for any confusion. The feature is not available on the current versions of RPN-67/97 Pro for the iPad. That's why it's not described on the homepage yet.

In short, the decimal point character is defined by the second digit following the decimal point in the argument for the DSP MODE command:

0 = auto = set according the locale (region) defined for the device
1 = forced to "."
2 = forced to ","

The corresponding number grouping character is defined by the selected display mode:
0 = auto = set according the locale (region) defined for the device
1 = "," or – if neither "." nor "," – left unchanged
2 = "." or – if neither "." nor "," – left unchanged

The number grouping is set according to the locale. Usually, that's groups of three digits, but for a change, try setting your device to India, language English or Hindi.

Example:

Value: 3141592.654

DSP MODE = 1.3
US: 3,141,592.654
Germany: 3.141.593,654
Switzerland: 3'141'592.654
India: 31,14,592.654

DSP MODE = 1.31
US: 3,141,592.654
Germany: 3,141,593.654
Switzerland: 3'141'592.654
India: 31,14,592.654

DSP MODE = 1.32
US: 3.141.592,654
Germany: 3.141.593,654
Switzerland: 3'141'592,654
India: 31.14.592,654

Here are some features of the next update of RPN-67/97 Pro:

• Next step number display above "OFF" text
• Paper tape capacity increased to 2000 lines
• TEXT command accepts codes 1..255, including lower- and upper-case Greek alphabet
• Improved results for SIN, COS, TAN with very large arguments
• Decimal addition/subtraction for higher precision
• Speed optimizations
  

Speed improvements may be quite dramatic. For example, running the program "Collatz Conjecture" (see Library 1 on the website) using the start value 63,728,127 is down from 33 seconds to 3 seconds. And that includes the printout of all 949 intermediate results.
