RE: Logic test
It isn't a trick question and the answer can be deduced easily enough.

RE: Logic test
We know nothing about Anne and she is in the middle of that relation.
J(married) -> A (?) -> G(unmarried)

I don't see X(married) -> Y(unmarried)

So I concluded cannot be determined but this seems to be incorrect.

Work out the two possible cases for Anne's marital status and see what results.

Is it enough to get the right answer?

Quote:

I got the right answer by assuming that George was probably their child and that the child would be unmarried...wrong but still right.

No assumptions required here: "Jack is looking at Anne, but Anne is looking at George. Jack is married, but George is not." So the correct answer is yes, a married person is looking at an umarried person. Both if Anne is married or not.

In the meantime the results are in. Among more than 200.000 submissions more than 72% were wrong, mostly because the answer was "cannot be determined".

I was wrong but the good news is I'm close to the past of humanity.

Big Grin

BTW If George and Jack are(?) siamese twins they(?) must married both(?) of them(?)?
I guess no. In this case their(?) wife has two(?) husband.

RE: Logic test
I still think the correct answer is C, since there is not enough information in the question.

My thought process was that you don't know if Jack can see George. We don't know that Ann is married or not. If Ann was standing on the sidewalk at the intersection of A and B streets, and Jack is on A street while George is on B street: Then Jack could not see George. But all three could be line of sight. But their orientation is not described: Therefore C is correct.

But then I'm poor at puzzles and rarely get the right answer.

Consider if Anne IS NOT married. Then Jack looking at Anne satisfies the question.

Consider if Anne IS married. Then Anne looking at George (who IS NOT married) satisfies the question.

Either way, a married person is indeed looking at an unmarried person.

RE: Logic test
What happens if Anne has a heart attack and dies between the first statement and the second? The answer is then C Smile
