Where to create variables: Home or CAS view?
I would like to explore and better understand the variable system of the HP Prime and taking further the discussion started in the thread nSolve .
There, I describe how I create a user defined variable in the Home view: Quote:1) Delete all variables x (either CAS Vars or User Variables) If I perform these steps the other way round by creating the x variable in the CAS view first then I can find the x variable under CAS Vars. My question: What is the better approach or best practice for creating variables?
My experience so far is to use the integrated user variables and create all my own variables in the CAS view. I am open for any inputs and clarifications. Many thanks. Dominik |

RE: Where to create variables: Home or CAS view?
Hi Dominik,
I still have confusion on the best way/places to create variables: - Vars > Cas or User - Vars > Home - Toolbox > User I tend NOT to save anything into X or x as these are used often as independent variables. Here is a thread I started as I was hoping to use formulas and/or expressions for multiple uses on the Prime:http://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-417.html |
