Units; StdP value vs. non values
StdP; non value 101.325_kPa. Correct
StdP; value 101.325. trick question or what? StdP; value 101.325E3. That is the true value!! 760mmHg |

The constant lib there returns a value of 101.325 when you don't have units attached. When you are not using units, the assumption is just that in the end you interpret as kPa. I remember looking at this extensively and talking to a few physics/chemistry professors before deciding to match what was done before. I'm open to change it, but the behavior does seem to make sense in actual practice. TW Although I work for HP, the views and opinions I post here are my own. |

On the historical level, I can't battle the staunch members( RPN CLINCHERS ) of this noble forum.
But "value" here is "magnitude",standard is standard. Standard pressure is 760mmHg is 101325_Pa. And not 101.325 you have to append kilos later in your calculations later. CONVERT(760_mmHg,1_Pa) |
