Does the Math/Stat pac combine the routines in the Math pac and the Stat pac?
Thanks

If you refer to the HP41 Math/Stat ROM module: yes, it does. In my case the box included one module and two separate manuals, one for the Math Pac and one for the Stat Pac.

RE: Math/Stat pac
So the math/stat pac was an improvement on the situation of two separate pace?

The Math/Stat module is simply a module repackaging of the initial Math and Stat modules.

Code:
00041-15002 STATISTICS PAC
Module.: "STAT I" [HP 00041-15002] (4K lower page)
Overlay: 0
Docs...: 00041-90030 Stat Pac Handbook
Docs...: 00041-90061 Stat Pac Quick Reference Card

Code:
00041-15003 MATHEMATICS PAC
Module.: "MATH I" [HP 5061-5261] (4K lower page)
Overlay: 2 -> "INTG" & "TRANS"
Docs...: 00041-90034 Math Pac Handbook
Docs...: 00041-90065 Math Pac I Quick Reference Card
Docs...: 00041-90399 Math Pac Addendum Card

Code:
00041-15049 MATH/STAT PAC
Module.: "MATH/STAT" [HP 5061-7287] (4K lower page + 4K higher page)
Overlay: 2 -> "INTG" & "TRANS"
Docs...: 00041-90030 Stat Pac Handbook
Docs...: 00041-90061 Stat Pac Quick Reference Card
Docs...: 00041-90034 Math Pac Handbook
Docs...: 00041-90065 Math Pac I Quick Reference Card

RE: Math/Stat pac
I remember when my friend Jim DeArras took a MATH Pac ROM and STAT pac ROM, combined them into one module. I was amazed that they worked together! That module remained in my HP-41CX until 1999. One day that year, I had my 41CX at work and spilled coffee on it by accident. The calculator would not turn on, I decided that it was dead and I tossed the calculator with the dual MATH/STAT module, Advantage module, X-Memory modules in the trash can!!! Little did I know that there was a market for the machine. I learned that later in 2001, when I started buying HP calculators from that auction site.

I was a bit surprised to eventually learn that HP itself sold the MATH and STAT pac ROMS combined. Now I own several copies of that dual ROM.

Thank you Massimo for the clarification, and thank you Namir for sharing your experience.

I just acquired a refurbished HP 41CX and a used math/stat pac (in working order). So I'll probably be coming up with more questions of the simple kind as I work my way through.

You are welcome. The 41 is my preferred calc. :)
