RE: New firmware version date 20160829
Hello,
A system in the backend web stuff caused the files to appear early, and some old ones to show up as well. That is also why you don't see the emulator. I suspect the files will be disappearing until the intended release date shortly. TW Although I work for HP, the views and opinions I post here are my own. |

RE: New firmware version date 20160829
I fired up Windows 7 on Parallels on my MacBook Pro today and when I opened up the HP Connectivity Kit, I was greeted with the message that updates were available for both the Connectivity Kit and my Prime.
I agreed to perform the update, and the Connectivity Kit updated. All good. I performed a backup on my Prime, and proceeded with the Prime update. All good. I attached a picture of my Prime information, FYI. smp EDIT: My Connectivity Kit says: Build: 2016 4 14. Rev: 10077. So, it must not have actually done any update, even though I swear it said one was available and it did two downloads and seemed to perform an update on the Connectivity Kit first. |

RE: New firmware version date 20160829
On HP's ftp:// side I can't see anymore the new 2016-08-29 software. Only ConKit 2016-04-14, but that's also an old one.

RE: New firmware version date 20160829
I don't think release 20160829 was meant as an "official public release." As such, I don't read anything, pro or con, about that release. Since r10077, the Hp folks have captured lots of issues, as mentioned in the various forums, and so I hope an "official" release will be quite an improvement! Now if they could only do something about those key legends, (for early adopters), this would become the "it" machine, for today's state of the art!

Maybe something like a RC? :-) However, I tried to install it in two Prime's with no particular issues (in one of them I had to perform "pinhole reset" to get it working, but then all was ok). For now this (un-official) release could be "better than none" :-) Salvo ∫aL√0mic (IT9CLU) :: HP Prime 50g 41CX 71b 42s 39s 35s 12C 15C - DM42, DM41X - WP34s Prime Soft. Lib |

Hello, Generally, most companies release files/updates in the early part of the work week with the idea being that "if something goes wrong, the support team will be available to help customers with problems and actions to pull files can be taken should something be seriously wrong". If you push out the files/updates near the end of the week, chances increase that there is no support available due to being the weekend. These files were published early (and only partially) for some reason. It looks like the back end system handling this has fixed the problem for now by removing the files. TW Although I work for HP, the views and opinions I post here are my own. |

Do you know if there is anything that I should be concerned about, since I performed the update? Should I be looking to revert to 8151? Thanks, smp |

Hi all,
Can someone send me the new firmware 2016 08 29 (10637) to me. I'm going, for my holiday, next Saturday to France. I want to update, if possible, just before that. France, what a beautiful country, with nice people! — Dirk Hartland |

The usual ftp site now has the 20160829 calculator firmware and Connectivity Kit but still no virtual calculator update.
