repair HP 67
Helo I am from Uruguay South America.

I have a HP67 calculator that I have been stored for a long time.

I found that it doesn't run now.

I would like to repair it.

My question is where can I send it in order to be repaired ?

Somebody know if in South Am is there any place where it can be repaired?

I donot have problem to send it tu USA but I donot know where so I cannot contact any body.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Best regards.

There are many possibilities for a calc to not turn-on, if it is what you mean. Checking that the battery pack is charged, that the charger works, that the battery contacts are clean, are some of the first things you could do if you didn't do it already.

If you have some experience in electronics, or other related work you may attempt to repair it yourself. You can post some pictures of it to get some advice on how to proceed.

There are some Spanish speaking members here (including myself), if you feel more comfortable using Spanish Smile

I also have a 67, mine would work if I only had a battery pack... time to print or buy one.

Alejandro Thanks for your answer.

RE: repair HP 67
If the battery did not leak, a big IF, in all this time, then It may be possible to repair it on the easy/cheap. The battery contacts are made like a spring. One can find such a material, it is probably gold-plated but I think brass or bronze would also do.
The battery pack can be opened with a knife a the cells replaced with NiMH ones, you need 3 of them in series, they have fins welded to them with a spot-welder. YOu can buy such cells, soldering with normal Tin/Lead solder doesn't really work.
