Looking to buy an HP 48GX in Canada

Does anyone know any good places to buy one? All of the listings on eBay seem to be over $200 CAD which is a little ridiculous I think... Is it?

Maybe check Amazon, a lot of people sell them there, but I'm not sure that you'll do much better than $200.

few months ago I purchased an used HP50g and search for it I found several ads for HP48gx sold for € 30-50. Now these ads are gone...

I live near Montreal/Quebec/Canada,

Unfortunately the current exchange between Canada and USA / European Union is awful.

As an example, lets assume the following cost for your HP-48GX ...

Calculator $100 USD + International Shipping $30 USD = Total $130 USD > exchange > ~$175.00 CAD + Duty & Taxes -> ~$200 CAD
Calculator $100 EUR + International Shipping $30 EUR = Total $130 EUR > exchange > ~$185.00 CAD + Duty & Taxes -> ~$210 CAD

So to answer your question, $200 CAD with the current reality for a HP-48GX is NOT mind blowing. 8-(

Now, I would suggest to be patient (months), watch eBay daily, wait for a great deal, watch carefully the shipping cost and you may end up having one on the cheap side.

In the Toronto-area, I have bought HP48 calculators through Kijiji. I have seen them advertised at prices between $15 and $200. The GX variant may be a bit hard to find, but you might get lucky.

I have one I was planning to sell, I am located in Halifax I also have a 48G with internally upgraded memory. Send me an email and we can discuss price.
Edit The 48G has 128K base memory and 128K in Ports 1,2,3,4 and 5.
