HP 38E disassembly
Hello, I have a HP38e and requires disassembly for repair. After removing the two screws next to the battery like to know how do I remove the opposite side without breaking.
I thank anyone who can help me. Jorge Tucakov |

Here is another method:
http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/...read=22660 I've never tried this technique, but I will probably give it a try the next time I need to open a Spice. The "grip-and-force" technique referenced above works, but might also lead to cosmetic damage if you are not careful. John |

RE: HP 38E disassembly
HI,
I have opened many spice models and the best way for me to do it (I found it somewhere in the forum, it is not my idea) was to use dental floss. Cut around 30 cm of dental floss, release the calculator back cover and slide this dental floss until the very bottom part, with the two extremes hanging in both sides. Pull from both sides 45ยบ down and this will free the back side without the "big crack". I hope it helps, Regards Ignacio |
