Blog posts and articles about HP calculators
I was searching the web today to see if I could find any articles written by people in praise of their favourite HP calculators. I was surprised how few I found.

I've written about HP calculators (including the WP34S) on my own blog a couple of times:

1. History of my calculators

2. A Classic Reborn

I'd be interested in any other in-depth examples of users writing about why they love their HP calculators and their particular favourites.

Thanks for any new links.

Have you already found these?

I was aware of that section, in fact I’m even in there! Thanks for reminding me.

I'll have another look through but it strikes me there's a dearth of articles about some of the newer machines and a focus on the vintage models - no bad thing necessarily.

I'm more interested by in-depth looks at users experiences and preferences rather than shorter anecdotes.

I presume you mean how few you've found on sites other than MoHPC's Forums, right? There are literally thousands of such posts here, some in special areas as Massimo pointed out, others in-line among the various sub-fora in both the old and current Forum pages.

This site is so active that it is extremely well-indexed by google, bing, yahoo, etc. and thus easy to find, so many folks eager to share their memories and stories find this site, join, and post here where they are talking to a like-minded audience, finding others with familiar favorites and stories, etc.

Basically, because this site is so active, I think a large percentage of such users find us and join-in.

RE: Blog posts and articles about HP calculators
I can add my own blog post, though it was done when I'd only recently acquired the beast. The second half of the post—admittedly long, most of my posts seem to be not on the short side—addresses my newly-purchased HP-50G alongside my other purchase of recent times, the Casio fx-9750GII. I basically do a very quick run-down of what I'd discovered at the time and my conclusions haven't changed a lot from the time of posting.

Thanks for that. That's exactly the sort of articles I am looking for, and I like long blog posts.

Mine's at http://wilsonminesco.com/HP41intro.html . It's not a blog post, just my website.

Fascinating - thanks for linking to it. I also found the article on slide rules fascinating too. I was given one during my time in secondary school but they were becoming very rare then and, although I can do the basics, I never became proficient.

I have picked up a few over the years and they are wonderful design classics in their own right. There's a recent photo of mine on Flickr here.
