i41CX+ - overlays for roms ?
Not sure this is already present in i41CX+, but in case it is, please tell me how to use it :-)
I am hopeful that some overlays for not only the HP roms but also some custom roms (such as the Sandmath rom) could be made available on the i41CX+. I think having these overlays available would greatly increase the usability of this already great app. Really, can't imagine not having the i41CX+ on my phone. Overlays anyone ? :-) |

RE: i41CX+ - overlays for roms ?
The app description mentions you can import/export overlays (among other things). Maybe try copying them over with iTunes file sharing?

I don't have the iPad here with me now, but IIRC go to settings and choose import overlays. It will import automatically from a site. This is how modules are imported too.

RE: i41CX+ - overlays for roms ?
Sandmath overlay is there
Maybe the best way is to install the Sandmath module in a Port. Then touch the i41CX+ button between USER and PRGM to bring up the Overlay (OVRL), SKIN, LCD options. Make sure the left side roller has OVRL highlighted and on the right side select the overlay you want. If you have Dynamic Overlay selected in the options then when you pressure the USER button the overlay will be displayed. If Dynamic Overlay is off, it will show up as soon as you select it. Hope this helps. |

The iOS overlay for Sandmath on the i41CX+ has the nPr and nCr functions reversed.

If Dynamic Overlay is off, it will show up as soon as you select it. The SandMath uses a different approach to access many of its functions. These are arranged in a secondary FAT, not covered by the USER assignments but by dedicated launchers and the Last-Function facility. None of these will be shown by the method suggested above - thus the Overlay request. Cheers, ÁM "To live or die by your own sword one must first learn to wield it aptly." |

RE: i41CX+ - overlays for roms ?
After I posted that I tried to use the SandMath functions and I found that even after skimming the extensive and well crafted manual I had no idea how to even start.
Is there a program you run first to get it all started? |

Then the Sandmath module is not installed or you have a version plugged in that is early and may not have the MKEYS function built in.
What do you see when you do a CAT 2 ? |

Just to clarify, I have the IOS app i41CX+, not a real 41. Here's what is in CAT 2 -TIME 2C -CX TIME -PRINTER- -I41CX 30 -AMC MATH -AMC MTRX -HL MATH -PPC MTH -EXT FCN 2D -CX EXT FCN In the app you can "install" modules. The only one I have installed is called SANDMATH and it is in Port 1 Thanks |

RE: i41CX+ - overlays for roms ?
AMC MATH indicates it is an old version of sandmath that does not have the MKEYS program.
The correct rom is shown as SMATH44 when you are virtually plugging them into an i41CX+ port. |
