DM42 microUSB cable
I just ordered my DM42 and what I thought was a miniUSB cable for it. Of course, I didn't read closely enough to see that the cable says "not for DM42"!

So what miniUSB cable should I use with the new DM42?

RE: DM42 miniUSB cable
Is the DM42 mini USB or micro USB (I don't yet have one so I don't know)? It really should be micro USB, because mini USB is deprecated. And even micro USB will probably soon disappear with USB-C available.

So do you think any microUSB cable will work?

I guess I'll know in a couple weeks.

I'm not Massimo, but here's a good one (actually, 3)

https://www.amazon.com/Redlink-Charge-An...+usb+cable

Rugged, reliable and 2 extra spares built-in, but still inexpensive.

RE: DM42 miniUSB cable
If you have an HP Prime, its cable should work.

Not really, the ones Bob suggested look fine (and I was about to buy some look alike a few weeks ago).
I used two or three microUSB cables I had at hand that I normally use with my smartphones and other devices. No problem at all.

RE: DM42 microUSB cable
I had one old microUSB cable that gave me problems, but several others that came with smart phones or were purchased from amazon worked fine. There are such things as reversible USB A to microUSB cables that I've also used.

The microUSB port in the DM42 does not a perfectly aligned path through the outer casing of my beta unit. I don't know if changes were made for the production run. Just make the connection deliberately and carefully. Do not rush it.
