Downgrade - is it safe?

Hi,

Is it safe to downgrade the firmware to very old version (v8151)?
I want to perform performance tests of HPPPL code execution with old firmware and take measurements.

Yes, it is. Just be aware that you can't move data files backwards in general so they may be lost.

Upgrading on the Mac does require being up to a certain level of firmware as well, so if that is your main platform be aware you'll need a windows machine.
