hp 20b sale in Germany

Hello,

I haven't been here for a while, so I might not be at the current state of things of the wp 34s/31s project. But I wanted to let you know that currently a german company is selling hp 20b calculators at € 17.95 (suitable for being converted into a wp device):

Go to http://www.dynatech.de and search for hp-20 b.

I don't have anny connection with the company, but years ago I bought several hp 30b from them.

alas, vereinigten staaten is not listed among the places they ship to

I found a mint one on TAS for around $28 USD (probably close to what it would cost to buy the EU one and ship it here).

P.S.: I could order some and send them to the US. Letter is €3.70, small parcel is €8.89. No idea about customs etc., as I never have sent goods to the US. But there should be plenty of experience here in the forum?

careful ... you cannot send any hardware items as a "letter", an international "letter" may only contain paper ...

I used this term for the wonderful wp 34s and wp 31s calculators which you can obtain by flashing the firmware of a standard hp 20b or hp 30b with what has evolved from a project of forum members.

A highly recommendable experiment - but you need a 20b or 30b which are not available anymore.

UPDATE:
The HP 20b I purchased on TAS arrived today.
It looks almost new, and came with English and French "Quick Start Guide"s.
And after replacing the batteries, it is working.
I'm happy with it.
