RE: Old PC appearance in a 1977 movie
The printer has the rounded shape of an early IBM Selectric. The extra bank of keys on the right make it look like like a modified IBM Selectric Composer. Composers were used for typesetting and had proportional fonts and variable pitch. They had additional keys and a dial to the right of the main keyboard.

Here's the 880: http://terminals-wiki.org/wiki/index.php...Consul_880 Here's a 580: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/a...2006001519 Here's a 960 or maybe a 980: https://www.electroprops.co.uk/73/Comput...P2354.html ADDS had a nice line in luggables too, the Envoy series, again with bright orange keycaps. |

Why the large case surrounding the monitor. No wonder the desk needed a support.
2010: The Year We Make Contact movie had huge ones in the offices also. cheers Tony |
