[HP-Collection]

There was a limited version of the 12C some years ago in Brazil. Unfortuantelly I only bought one of these units. Does someone still has a unit for sale?

Are you asking about the 12C "Platinum" model?

They are very commonly available and not very expensive, compared to other discontinued HP calculators.

Having said that, why are you interested in that particular model? They are not as well built as the earlier 12C models and I do not consider the Platinum to be particularly desirable.

In my opinion the Voyager models that used three LR44 type batteries are preferable in build quality than the newer ones that use a single CR2032. My familiarity with the Voyager series is limited, so others may have more distinguishing criteria for you to consider.

Limited production run only for Brazillian Market (but made in China), slightly different cosmetics but functionally a Platinum.

Generally only of interest to collectors. Some go for crazy prices, but then that's collecting.

I was just answering John as to why you wanted one, despite it's inferiority to other 12C machines.

Still, as a collector I have to own a pair (one still MNIB!)

I jumped briefly, then saw there is another $48 shipping to USA, so nearly $200 total. Even if it truly is near-mint condition, that's just wrong for a 12C...

Sorry, but the standard price on eBay for a 12C Prestige has been between 100$ to 160$ USD in the last ~4 years.

Welcome to my world, Robert, shipping outside of USA is outrageous.
I have paid 39.95$ USD of shipping (Bresil to Canada) last summer for mine.

From Google: The currency code for Real is BRL, and the currency symbol is R$.
