Data, collected according to a not so peculiar metric, is sooner or later always useful.

For example I find the distribution of calculators really neat to predict a bit what documents I can expect to collect for the hp calc torrent (see n1) . This helps to structure the folders a bit earlier.

Hi Pier I see just now your post, I'm not at home and I have difficult to be daily on the site.
Actually I've not yet read entirely the thread but I cannot easily find where and how to fill the poll, you told about ten different calculator but I don see the list, is it in another post?

41CL two three days a week
HP42s daily
wp34 daily in place of the 42s
hp50g in the past daily, now just to learn and exercize in programming, so for the 48gx
HP67 to play and remind the golden era so for the HP25c, all the classicals just for "love" when happens
and the 35 to remind me how I've been lucky (or unlucky) in avoid a slide rule's training

I keep with me always a algebraic calculator for peopke at work who ask me for a calculator, it seems otherwise to offend who think "you have a lot of calculators all with issues or missing in something"

4 HP15C this is THE CALCULATOR! Best form factor ever! The only calculator that was brought to life after more than 20 years
discontinued. This is for a reason, isn't it?
1 HP11C like the 15c, but less powerfull
3 HP48GX luv it. A pleasure to use. I prefer using them instead of the 50G.

1 HP27S a pleasure to use. A Swiss army knife. Luv it. The pioneers have great keyboard, but should have being made landscape.
2 HP17BII powerfull solve.
1 HP50G the ultimate evolution of RPL. Very mature calculator. Its only drawback is the small enter key. But doesn't have the 48 quality.
3 HP28S with 32 kb, now we can program with a 28. Simply fantastic calculator, a pleasure to use.
1 HP28C historic.
1 HP41CV luv it. No need to say anything. If you want an opinion, ask Massimo.
2 HP49G although its rubber keys, a pleasure to use. I like it

1 HP18C good only for its solver, but a historic calculator.

By this definition my 41CV saw its first actual use yesterday, when I compared the mean scores of various student lab groups on it. But I guess I mostly play with my HP calculators except HP 35S (because this can still be ordered new I keep it in my bag and do all sorts of calculations on it).

I know collectors who have hundreds of calculators. None of them even have batteries in them! I'd consider using a calculator to mean turning it on and doing something with it whether that something is for work or recreation.

me too, know some of them, but I prefer to have functional calculator, and in the list in this port I reported *only* those working and have battery inside...

You should consolidate CL together with C/CV/CX (and CY/CW), since that is the core of the calculator and before it was a C/CV/CX.

There is a post somewhere in the thread, that I trusted, that states that the CL cannot be aggregated together with the HP models. So In doubt I leave them distinct until there is a clear guideline (since when one merges the data without backups, the unmerged data is gone).
