Invalid Card Data startup error on HP48G
Hi,
On my HP48G (not GX), message "Invalid Card Data" is Displayed when the Calculator is Turned On. I tried to fix it with PINIT command, but it doesn't happens, and message is displayed again. Any way to fix it? Thanks, Shark |

RE: Invalid Card Data startup error on HP48G
Sorry, original reply was about using cards, it seems your quite clear 'not a GX' comment was not clear enough the first time through.
I think Mark's comments are the most likely cause. --Bob Prosperi |

RE: Invalid Card Data startup error on HP48G
Any chance your 48g was modified to expand the main memory? I vaguely remember instructions to replace the main RAM chip or add another, hence the 48 may think it has a memory expansion card. Check using the MEM command.
A hard reset may also recover, but you'd lose what you have in memory. Remember kids, "In a democracy, you get the government you deserve." |

What do you see when you run the self test described in appendix A of the manual?
