The usual recipe is white vinegar, which is acidic and reacts with the corrosion. Then water to kind of neutralize the vinegar. Finally, alcohol to remove any remaining residue and help the water evaporate.

It's not perfect, but MUCH better. Thanks for the confirmation. Also, done with Duracell. Ordered some Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. |

I don't think you can blame Duracell, but Lithium primaries are said never to leak.
They cost big money but I use only the lithiums in my gear since about 5 years ago. The older things get the more they become irreplacable... It ain't OVER 'till it's 2 PICK |
