ASTRO LAB 4
I have installed astro Lab 4 on my Prime.
As I working trough the examples I have tried the example to calculate the
coordinates of the Sun, page 10 of the Word document.

When I run ListNow, this is printing the time of the Prime as in the example.
{2015, 9, 20.58707...} this is ok!

But when I trie to run =>
FromLocalTimeToUniversalTime(ListNow) I get a Error: Syntax Error.

Also when I trie to run =>
FromLocalTimeToUniversalTime({2015,9,20.58701}) I get a Error: Syntax Error.

My setting is the RPN , and the number format is Standard

The only change I have done is using decimal values for the setup!!
Latitude = 51.8319
Longitude = 4.1318

Please need some help with this.

Cheers,

Jan

hi Jan,
here Astro LAb 4 works well.
I think Marcel -for now- has made it checking only for algebraic use, not RPN (also my Astronomy's program is intended -for now- to be used in algebraic mode); please, try if you get errors in algebraic mode also...

Hi Salvo,

Thanks for this remark. It is working well. Checked with my SPA program.
This is a very high resolution sun position calculator.

Have also downloaded your program Effemeridi. Find a lot of interesting solutions for porting my SPA to the HP Prime. It had it written for my IPad in NSBasic. So the translating/porting will not be a greate job.
When finished it I will put it on the forum.

Cheers,

Jan

yes Jan, a very precise program, following the formulas by Jan Meeus, also fraction of arc seconds!

thank you.
My program is more precise if used in conjunction with Astro Lab, however is also enough precise...
It has only a few instabilities, but Cyrille, Eried and I are investigating about the causes, stay tuned...

Hi Salvo,

In what editor did you write this huge program?

Cheers,

Jan

I wrote all in Connection Kit.
But at a some point (I don't know exactly when) it was generated a strange error: now if I edit something in the program, my Prime crashes.
We are investigating on this error, mostly...

Hi Jan and Salvomic!
Thank you Salvomic for your response to Jan and thank you Jan for your contribution for developping a great astro program for HP Prime!
Salvomic and I worked all the spring and a part of the summer in that.. This was for me a pleasure...
