"Integers" setting for number systems question

Hi,

I cannot understand what is the purpose of setting "Integers" in the Home settings, as when I choose, for example, a binary system, the calculator still interprets any numbers as decimal in Home mode, so I cannot carry out any calculations in binary number system.

Can anyone please explain what is the purpose of this setting, and how to work with number systems other than decimal?

This is for the home "integer object" type. This number will be prefixed with #. For example, if you set to hex, typing #1234 ENTER will interpret that as #1234h.

Inputs in other bases are always possible. You just need to type either b/o/d/h on the end of your number. You also can limit the bits (1-63) and have either signed/unsigned.
