It might be an idea to publish md5/sha-256 or other checksums with the files so that people can verify their downloads *in the usual way* in future.
An example of typical usage here: http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.d...so-images/ You might even encourage disseminating to local mirror services. |
