RE: New HP 9825 story: Trees, Lawsuits, and a resurrected HP 9825
For any fans of the 9825 or other old HP's that use the DC100 cartridges, I am working on a Tape Drive Emulator for the 9825.
The plan is to use a micro controller to emulate the tape drive, giving us the ability to store programs and data on an SD card instead of DC100. I know there are still a lot of these units out there, I don't know how many people are actively using them. If anyone has any technical information or expertise that they would be willing to offer to the project then by all means please make contact. I know there would be retired people out there that know the 9825 inside out and upside down and would be a massive asset in this development. If you have a 9825 and would like to see an emulator of this type let me know, any support/encouragement with this project would be greatly appreciated. Kind Regards Chris Robertson |
