The HP50G has an infrared port and can be used for testing. See the HP50G users manual page 834.

Just place the calculator in front of the red LED and issue a print command.

I'm sure they don't go with the printer, but rather than try to sell them individually I thought I'd make a lot out of the accessories, so to speak. And you're correct, just an AC outlet.
