Dear Friends,

Do yo have any idea about an HP41 module, labeled "Sto. Domingo"?

No documentation about it, NO idea about the origin and what's about...maybe you got an idea...

I enclose a picture...

If the calculator it is plugged into will turn on, the try yellow shift, ENTER and 2 (to do a CAT 2) and then let us know what is shown in the display. If the display moves too quickly, press the R/S key and then SST through each entry.

Very cool.

(Sorry for the step-by-step instructions above if you are already very familiar with the HP 41!)

Unfortunately, I do not have access to the module (also cannot see if there is a ref. code in the side face). It has been offered to me, and I am considering to buy it.

Get the seller to do it and ask him/her to report back what comes up

Hi,

I suspect this module is about road design (layout).

I have seen some screen captures and it requests data about this issue (i am civil engineer).The interface is in spanish.

Additionaly, Sto. Domingo is the "patron saint" of the civil engineers of Spain!!

Beside this, no idea about the origin of this module.

Why would it not be the other way around? Patron saints assist and protect. If a discrimination is to be made, wouldn't it be more reasonable to have concern of those who propose to operate without one?

Good point! (pessimism vs. optimism?)

I was thinking that if the Saint felt he/she was needed, there must be a reason... but with said Saint 'on the job', you're probably right. Anyhow, I've long wanted to travel and see Spain, so now I'll just have to go to see what such 'protected' works are like; I've always heard they're beautiful.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ... but I'd say they are fine examples of bridges and other civil engineering feats scattered in the land (patronized or not ;-)

PK means "Kilometric Point"
Cota means "High"

i doubt it's that one. I have the book and did put together all programs in the SESA_SOL module . There's no text string like "PK,COTA" anywhere to be found.

So despite the coincidence (Sto. Domingo) it doesn't appear to be related.
