HP 39gs connection
Hello, dear friends. I've bought HP 39gs from China (I'm almost sure it is a copy, not original calculator). And I have problems with connection it with my computer. OS are Windows 7 and Windows 10 (more important now). I use Conn3x and drivers from here. And I have a warning:
Quote:Access violation at address 0048655F in module 'Conn3x.exe'. Read on address 00000004.when I start this connectivity kit on both systems. Also, I get Quote:Access violation at address 0048698A in module 'Conn3x.exe'. Read on address 00000004.when I try to quit this program. It can "see" that my calculator is switched on and off, but I can't send or recieve anything. Please, help me. Sorry for my English. |

Does it communicate properly with other calculators? Try removing and reinstalling, or perhaps try downloading a different copy. I only succeeded with my old 32 bit Windows 7 laptop. There are a few mistakes in the instructions pointed by the links above by others, screenshots looking different to what one can see, swapped lines, typos, hard to tell intervals in the names of drivers etc. Sometimes false error messages, even though program actually works. Use common sense. May need some patience and a few attempts. Good luck |

Can you please confirm which version of conn3x (i.e. from which site) you were able to get working and with which version(s) of Windows, so the next person looking for the same information knows which one to use? --Bob Prosperi |

RE: HP 39gs connection
Thanks Sava!
And thanks Thomas - this captures sooo much and says it far better than I could. Few things are more frustrating than seeing a bunch of replies to a question (not just here, anywhere), followed by no reply at all from OP, or even worse, a generic 'thanks it worked'. --Bob Prosperi |
