HP-41C Option 001 documentation and packaging
Does anybody know how the HP-41C Option 001 was originally packaged for sale by HP, and what documentation came with it? Was there an Option-001-specific manual and/or box? Or was there an addendum to the regular HP-41C/CV/CX manual? Or was the calculator just packaged the same way as a regular HP-41C/CV/CX with the same documentation?

At least a dedicated Option 001 box exists. Some time ago an Option 001 box was offered by an American eBay seller. IIRC it looks similar to normal HP-41 retail box, but w/o the "HP-41 C/CV/CX" markings.

RE: HP-41C Option 001 documentation and packaging
Thanks for the info! I've never seen a box or handbook for either, the DVD set didn't have an Option 001 manual, and a search of the forum and the internet didn't turn up anything, so I was starting to wonder. It does seem like Option 001 might have been a direct-order item only...

RE: HP-41C Option 001 documentation and packaging
Adam made available for selling the calculator referenced by Raymond and to my knowledge it was not sold.
The box was the wide and slim version with "Option 001" (not sure anymore, could also be only "001") marked on it.
Inside the box the pictures showed: the normal manuals, the HP-41 without any stickers on it, the back/front stickers ready to be applied, the soft case and the warranty/etc papers.

As usual, the MoHPC forum has succeeded in thoroughly answering a question that the rest of the internet could not -- and providing documentary evidence to boot. Thank you all!
