Put together a beginners guide to graphing
So I sat down and put together a (simple) guide to graphing on youtube. It is currently very brief and I am thinking about expanding on it.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreaciated, it can be found here:

HP Prime, graphing

Suggestions or ideas for content would be appreciated.

Cheers MC

RE: Put together a beginners guide to graphing
I could suggest that you presume a beginner has absorbed enough operator information to start the graphing app with a linear equation.

Your beginner's guide might be more helpful by pointing out the checkboxes, color selection, maybe multiple equations, etc. Then follow that with the use of the Symb key to review the contents of the plot equation setup, possibly introducing the edit key, and that sort of thing.

I will go through the different views and how what they are used for if I get time this week.

RE: Put together a beginners guide to graphing
I just added a video on plotting multiple graphs, the check boxes and colors, next I will do the settings for functions/graphs and look at domain and range and plotting constraints.

RE: Put together a beginners guide to graphing
The videos look fine so far. When you mention "plotting constraints", are you thinking of examples that use the "AND" operator? Other introductory mathematics topics include inequalities and conic sections. The Advanced Graphing app can also produce some level set plots: for example, "y-sin(x)=k" or "x^2+y^2=k" for integer k can be plotted by "(Y-SIN(X)) MOD 1=0" or "(X^2+Y^2) MOD 1=0". Zooming in can help with these two examples (the "+" key is a convenient way to do zoom in). Showing that you can edit formulas (and change plot colors) while in an Advanced Graphing plot view might be appreciated by some.
