Just Purchased A Prime G2!
I just purchased a Prime G2 on https://www.derekenwinkel.nl. I'm psyched, and anxious to see what that ~3x performance looks & feels like.
Since I'm in the USA, the sale worked out to be: 114.88 euro plus 25.17 euro for shipping, for a total of 140.05 euro or 158.05 US dollars, by the exchange rate today. I had a bit of trouble navigating the web site in Dutch, but their Customer Service answered my couple of questions promptly, and I was able to place my order without any further difficulty. Kudos to Derewinkel for great customer service. I'll post back when I receive my Prime so we'll document how long it takes for shipping, too. Thanks for listening... smp |

Cool! Makes me think if I need a G2 now... but I dont really use the Prime a lot yet.
Also, I like to see some unfairness too with the US in terms of online stores. You have everything too easy and fast, so you become spoiled My website: ried.cl |

RE: Just Purchased A Prime G2!
Not to disparage derekenwinkel, who I've heard are excellent, but if anyone is looking to purchase from the UK, I can strongly recommend Oxford Education (http://oxford-educational.co.uk). I bought my G2, and two 50g from them quite recently (they still had some of the last EU stock).
If you're after a G2, contact them by email first to request they check the pkg before sending to make sure it's a G2 (they did for me). I saw they had an 50g for around 186 USD equivalent on ebay for a time but it was far too high, so I didn't try. Pity nobody mentioned this shop earlier if they had reasonable prices on those at some point. I don't see any at all on their site checking the HP section now. It ain't OVER 'till it's 2 PICK |

RE: Just Purchased A Prime G2!
I received my new HP Prime G2 today! Only 2 weeks wait for the mail, that was great.
I ran some of my programs, like how many ways to make $1 (US) from change, and I can attest that it is working ~3x faster! 2.6 seconds for my G1 and 0.9 seconds for my new G2! I am loving this. Now to get back to my 8080 simulator program... smp |

Ordered my G2 this Sunday from Belgium at The http://www.calculatorstore.com and it arrived today from Spain. In the past I already purchased from them HP15C Special edition, fast reliable and with normal prices thus not taking advantage of scarcity. |

In Europe the JP Prime has been a success and sales have a predicted steady level, but in the USA there is a recent decline so that there is still stock left. They must be sold first. Only then also the USA will get the new model. I wish HP would bring out a superior hardware with a very fast CPU. The HP Prime Pie with Android 9 and enough Linux to provide full Xiac or KhiCAS. BUT there's more: Modular Design. Like those Moto Mods e.g. a separate PHONE module. or perhaps rather a detachable phone piece so that it doesn't work during exams or perhaps just the HP Prime Exam Mode that desables the radio parts. In the USA the phones are "sold" with a small deposit and a contract with monthly payments for a year or two thus binding you to the operator. That also makes the price seem affordable. Perhaps the Casio ClassPad design with a huge display is more suitable for being also a PHONE. Half the screen can used as a virtual keyboard or as a split screen for matrix and graph or the full screen can used for the graph. Anyway, there is no competition. It's worth the risk. VPN |
