Greetings Namir!
I wrote in pencil on one of my magnetic strips the exact key sequence I need to type to read the card. I've used the card reader less and less (both for 71b and 41c) as media is harder and harder to come by and less and less durable. 17bii | 32s | 32sii | 41c | 41cv | 41cx | 42s | 48g | 48g+ | 48gx | 50g | 30b |

The Service Manual describes the Card Reader test. The Card Reader is tested for cards pulled too fast, too slow, and normally. Seems this could be done without the Diag ROM. See Table 5-1 in the Service Manual.
