The Recreational Programmer

PPC Journal V5N2 page 9 has a note that The Recreational Programmer article by Kenneth and Jonathan Mills would become a bi-monthly magazine. I searched online but didn't find much. There's a review on page 50 of Recreational Computing V37N4 and the phrase was Trademarked by Programmers Publishing Co. the trademark was later cancelled.

Does anyone know what happened with this magazine and if issues are available online or as PDF anywhere?

So they must have put out at least one issue. Not very big at 32 pages.

They were also mentioned in 52-Notes and Byte Magazine.

I'd guess that they published at least 10 issues, because I have a copy of Volume 2 Number 4 (July-August 1979). I never subscribed, but they sent me this issue for free because it contains my "PUZZLESOLVER" program (in BASIC) on pages 12 through 19. Below are scans of the front cover (apparently page 1) and page 2 (inside the front cover).

Yes, that's the standard, time-honoured courtesy practice.

Less courteous people would insist that you subscribe in order to get the issues where your materials appear.

Unethical as it seems, it's been known to happen ...
