Casio fx-260 SOLAR and Profit on Pricing Calculations
This very compact and really nice Scientifc Calculator also very affordable everyone can get one in the maket around the globe.

Recently I manage to find all the keys stroke steps to solve for the "Pricing Calculation" that
Solve for Cost, Selling Price, Markup and Margin

User input Two knowns variables and I provided the necessary steps to slove for the other Two
Unknown variables.

Since this calculator got the hard cover case I recommend to write or print this steps and
tape it to the back side of the case cover.

Key Stroke Steps:

COST, PRICE ▶ MARKUP ⇒ Cost [-] [-] Price [%]
COST, PRICE ▶ MARGIN ⇒ Cost [-] Price [%]

COST, MARKUP ▶ PRICE ⇒ Cost [x] Markup [%] [+]
COST, MARGIN ▶ PRICE ⇒ Cost [+] Margin [%]

PRICE, MARKUP ▶ COST ⇒ Price [+] Markup [+/-] [%]
PRICE, MARGIN ▶ COST ⇒ Price [x] Margin [%] [-]

The example is avalible in my youtube channel but use different Casio Calculator model.
That Casio in the clip is Casio MS-20UC and all the keys steps is the same that also work
with the Casio fx-260 SOLAR

Youtube Clip: https://youtu.be/vJDqD__k4Og

Remark:

For Casio MS-20UC

To find the "Exclusive Tax" in other word is to calculate the Price not include tax.

Example:

Tax = 20%
Selling Price = 82.45
What is the Price without tax?

82.45 [+] 20 [+/-] [%] display result 68.7083333333 ≈ 68.71

To find just the "Tax Amount" while previous answer on disapy
then press [-] display result 13.7416666666 ≈ 13.74

To check if both result is correct or not

68.71 [+] 13.74 [=] display result 82.45

RE: Casio fx-260 SOLAR and Profit on Pricing Calculations
For Casio fx-260 SOLAR this steps can be use

to Find the "Percent of Total' with the use of [x↔y] function.

The Percent of Total fuction is avaliable with the HP-12C as [△T] button.

I'll use the example provided in the HP-12C User's Handbook on Page 30.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Casio fx-260 [x↔y] function is use for swaps displayed value with value in memory.

With this funtions the primary use of it is the polar coordinate conversions.

It can also be use to determine the ratio of one item to a total.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Example:

What is the Percentage of Total amount of A, B and C ?
For [A]3.92, [B]2.36 and [C]1.67

Procedure: FIX 2 press [MODE] 7 then 2

3.92 [+] 2.36 [+] 1.67 [--)] display 7.95 [SHIFT] [min] [÷] 3.92 [SHIFT ] [x↔y] [=]
display 0.49 [x] 100 [=]
display answer for A = 49.31%

[MR] display 7.95 [÷] 2.36 [SHIFT] [x↔y] [=] display 0.30 [x] 100 display
answer for B = 29.69%

[MR] display 7.95 [÷] 1.67 [SHIFT] [x↔y] [=] display 0.21 [x] 100 display
answer for C = 21.01%

To check the answer all three A + B + C ≈ 100%

A = 49.31%
B = 29.69%
C = 21.01%

RE: Casio fx-260 SOLAR and Profit on Pricing Calculations
Above problem to calculate "Percentage Part of the Total"

The steps can be shorten a bit more.

------------------------------------------

What is the Percentage of Total amount of A, B and C ?
For [A]3.92, [B]2.36 and [C]1.67

3.92 [+] 2.36 [+] 1.67 [=] display 7.95 [Min]

While 7.95 on display [÷] [÷] 3.95 [%] display answer for [A] 49.69%

[MR] display 7.95 [÷] [÷] 2.36 [%] display answer for [B] 29.69%

[MR] display 7.95 [÷] [÷] 1.67 [%] display answer for [C] 21.01%

----------------------------------------
Similar procedure as above also work on Casio MS-20UC

Add all up and store to [M+]

Then [MRC] n [÷] [÷] each amount [%] display answer and user round to two decimal digit.
