HP49-50G : Black rectangle variable
Suppose that I am on variables menu.
Suppose that I want that only 5 variables appear by page. - On 1st page of that menu, for instance: A1, BLACK_RECTANGLE, A3, A4, A5, A6. - on 2nd page: B1, B2, B3, B4, B5 BLACK_RECTANGLE. My "solution" is to have instead of BLACK_RECTANGLE "" '¶¶' STO "" '¶¶¶' STO Then {A1, ¶¶, A3, A4, A5, A6, B1, B2, B3, B4, ¶¶¶} ORDER. Is there a better solution to have real, black rectangle instead of my special characters? Thanks in advance for your help. Regards, Gil Campart |

RE: HP49-50G : Black rectangle variable
You can use the Filer to rename a variable to blanks like ' ' which will show up in the VAR menu as a black rectangle.
Have you considered making a custom menu instead? You could store {A1, {}, A3, A4, A5, A6, B1, B2, B3, B4, {} } in CST and the custom menu would display blanks in place of the {} entries. |

RE: HP49-50G : Black rectangle variable
Thanks for the tips.
For the 1st suggestion : it will not show a full, black rectangle, as the ' sign will appear at the left of the black rectangle, showing in fact its name (' '). Regards, Gil |
