Is there hope for this HP 41C?
Greetings all.

I hope this is the correct place to ask this question...here it goes: this beauty is on sale on a local second-hand website. The question is, is there hope?

Thank you in advance for any insight, and kind regards.

If that's the only corrosion then it looks like all you need is a golden zebra and an Expansion Port block.
HP Calculator Parts and Services can be found at the top of the Articles Forum, here.

But you'll probably want to start out at The Calculator Store.

Hi,

It will help if you could also share some pics of the internal boards (where corrosion may have also found its path) and the screw post (frequently cracked/damaged).

It often requires deep cleaning for the former and some fixing work for the latter.

The I/O Flex is available; contact me in case you decided to go ahead with the repair job.

And you can get a repacement Zebra stirp from José.

Best wishes and good luck with your 41.

Diego.

RE: Is there hope for this HP 41C?
Thank you Dave, Thank you Diego, Thank you floppy

I decided against buying this, will be too much of a hassle to procure the parts (and possibly, borrow the expertise to do the correct surgeries) to where I am now. This looks a bit more complicated than I previously thought.

Kindest regards to all!
Musti.
