HP Prime Serial Number Plate

I use my Prime 2-3 hours a day, double handed, or on a desk, a mixture.

I store it in a soft case at the end of the day.

The plate at the back of it with the serial number on it is losing pieces of the serial number every day now, it's falling off, and already unrecognisable. I registered it before, but also scratched my serial into the plastic of the case that I don't touch.

Is the serial number important? Is anyone else's serial number rubbing off with normal use? Is the serial number written anywhere else on the case or inside the software?

You will likely never need it, but take a photo of it while it can still be read, and if needed, you'll have the proof. Odds are low that you have a photo of someone else's unit.

The same thing happened to mine. The text on the serial number label was gone in probably 3 days.

Makes you miss the engraved plastic on the HP 48...but at least on the Prime, the serial number is in ROM or OTP or something.
