Solve app bug report
The solve app does strainge things when there are more than 12 variables.
This is on the emulator, 2.1.14592 Windows 10 version 1909 Here is an example: Reset the Solve App, then tap Start; Press escape, then go to the home environment; Copy and paste each of the 6 lines below into the home command line, press enter after each line: 'A=B+C+D'▶E1; 'B=C+D+E'▶E2; 'C=D+E+F'▶E3; 'D=E+F+G+H+I+J+K+L+M'▶E4; 0▶A▶B▶C▶D▶I▶J▶K▶L▶M; 1▶E▶F▶G▶H; Go to Symbolic view and check E1 thru E4; Go to Number view, check A thru D, uncheck E thru M (M is located on the second page) Tap Solve. M mysteriously checks itself and is solved for. Go back to page one and A is mysteriously unchecked. Check A, uncheck M, tap solve; and it repeats. The Solve app when equations have more than 12 variables does other weird things as well. See this thread for another example: https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-18102.html -road |

So I filed a bug report for this on the bug tracking site I’ve set up. … and the bug got fixed! (If anyone reading this would like an account on the bug tracker I’ve set up to help organize matters, just let me know by PM.) |
