I discover the Olivetti by reading this article, as well as the three others, and I like it much. Best design for me, especially the colour scheme. Very appealing, as for many other productions of italian design offices!

Regards.

Hello!
I have an Olivetti SC-2000 and it is a very nice machine.

So does anyone know definitively who the original manufacturer was?

Is it an original Canon and rebranded by others or actually made by someone else?

Someone mentioned that the functionality was similar to non-programmable Canon calculators but I don't know if they were originally made by Canon either.

There certainly appears to be a lot of variants.

I'd like to know too. I'd bet on Citizen but I have no data, just gut feeling. The shared history predates SRP-175 and F-800P; the previous pair was SR-59 and F-73P. But I haven't found SR-59's production years so it's hard to tell...

Canon F-73P is very similar to F-73 but not its successor. It's more like F-73 was a "dumbed down" version of F-73P. See http://www.datamath.org/Related/Canon/F-73.htm.

I just found a reference and some pictures of an Canon F-600.
It looks almost the same as the F-800P, but i assume its not programable?
Sorry, of topic.
