x Theta x or a

Can someone clear this up for me:

When entering equations into the solver both in CAS and No-CAS mode I seem to be getting only "a" when I press the x theta key.

I know there are times when the key provides an "x" when it is pressed.

When should I expect an "a" and when should I expect to see an "x" when x Theta key is pressed?

It depends on what app is active. In the polar app you get theta, in the geometry app you get x, it the parametric app you get a t, etc.
