It looks like a nice fit, but I'd prefer a case that could hold the USB cable as well.

Something like this? It's a bit wider but works.
It a standard 15x10cm case for external drives.

Just received my PX41CX in the mail today (FedEx). Superbly protected (peel-off screen protection, bubble wrapped case inside a box inside a package) and super fast shipping! Thank you Alex! This is my first 41 calculator and eager to learn more about it and the various modules.

I’d be interested in SwissMicro’s DM41X, but after the hardware refresh embodied in the DM32, I’ll wait for a DM41Xn. I waited for the DM42 hardware refresh (even after reading in this forum that it could be a long wait) but the wait was well worth it when it when the DM42n arrived.

I have a PX15C and the new PX41CX. Of the two, the keys on the PX41CX are certainly the better. They are nice to use and reasonably quite.
The keys on the 15C are somewhat clunky and noisy, but there are overlays available which I've not investigated or seen irl. I think you need to choose the short buttons to use those overlays, and I chose the tall buttons :/
I have an original 41CV and 12C. I don't think anyone has made better keyboards than the original HP calculators have.

The keys feel good. They are oval-shaped and reasonably sized — more comfortable than the understandably smaller keys on the PX-15C. The keys have a click and no issues with key action.

It's never wise to say never, so I'll say it is very unlikely there will be a DM41xn for a long, long time, for a variety of reasons, but the main one is why bother? Anyone wanting a new platform for super high speeds is probably better off with a DM42n, and having more memory does not improve a 41X as it already has more RAM than any 41 could ever use. Just wanted you to know, so you aren't waiting for something that isn't likely coming...

Just to play Devil’s advocate, is there a counter argument that even if an enhanced hardware DM41X would not be of much greater value to the consumer, it might still be likely because it would benefit the manufacturer to consolidate production on one hardware platform for their top 3 flagship models?

Yeah, but the alternative is even more expensive, more than double. It's good for us that Swiss Micro's has a little competion now as well.

Sure, firmware development is yet another reason hardware consolidation benefits manufacturers. But isn't hardware consolidation its own advantage to manufacturers (fewer parts to order and being able to order more parts of the same type at volume discount)?

Indeed! In fact, I don't recall feeling as good after a new calculator purchase as after recently receiving the PX-41CX. Probably a combination of things but surely includes that it exceeds my expectations, the value to price ratio is high, its size seems perfect, plus the intangible that I feel I can master the calculator because firmware options are useful, easy to access and not overwhelming.
