Hello TI-30X Pro MathPrint. Goodbye 36X Pro
Hi all. By tomorrow this time, I would have spent nine hours with a new toy, a 30X Pro MathPrint. Since the 30X is superior in many ways, should I hold onto the 36X (not to use it as a paperweight or doorstop, though)?

If it is not your goal to build a comprehensive collection of school calculators (as you seem to have been doing over the last weeks/months) then it is probably not worth keeping. Donate it to a school or a child in your neighborhood, they can probably find a better use for it. Or wait until you have decided which ones of your other Ti, Casio, Sharp and HP calculators you want to keep and sell the rest of them as a lot on eBay or in the classifieds here.

Regards
Max

Well, my newborn came today. After giving it some thought, I’ll go with my collection goal. Yeah. I’ll keep the 36X Pro.

Good choice! Who needs baby supplies anyway?

It reminds me: if you ever need a TI-84 for your kid, don't buy one new! There are always plenty available for cheap here:

(search for "calculator", sometimes some classics show up)

For me, the more advanced, the more I’ll be taking out the card and the receipt says. "PAID." That how the TI-86, 89, and N-Spire were added to my collection rather than the 84s and earlier models.

But, in my heart, it will always be RPN and HP for me.

Hi all. Carrying on about the 30X Mathprint:

Do you think that the 30X Pro Mathprint would be brought to the US as an update of the 36X Pro? Or would an update to the 36X Pro be a more ambitious model?

I find it quite surprising that they haven't done that already. The MathPrint models have been available in Europe for 4 years now.

Well then, if I were to do the same as how I bought the European 30X Pro MathPrint, what would be the step-up from the 30X Pro that I could buy as an import?
