RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
I see the CG500 on Google Play (unlike the HP Prime, on this phone), but it shows as not available in the UK.
It also shows no reviews yet, so I'm wondering whether it's just so new that it's not yet reached the UK - or whether it's unavailability might be more permanent. (Prices for the actual device show in dollars, even after telling Casio I'm in the uk) Stephen Lewkowicz (G1CMZ) https://my.numworks.com/python/steveg1cmz |

the casio fxcg500 come up as casio classpad in Europe. the free version is well cut down, you would have thought if yo owned one they would give you a free licence ,or a reasonable one off free like hp prime pro( which has went through a few name changes too).

On IOS, at least in the U.S., the Casio ClassPad app requires a monthly subscription of $1.99 to keep using it. I don’t think there is a free version. |

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
Just to note, my old Huawei Android 8 with HP Prime Pro installed has recently started telling me that my keyboard is no longer supported.
I tried to update the keyboard, but my phone doesn't have enough memory...it might update if I delete some apps. For the time being it's keyboard still works, but clearly my Android 8 has a limited lifetime, and presumably at some point the keyboard may stop (though hopefully that will only affect texting and dialling and naming files, not the HP prime keyboard). RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
It's a bit frustrating that Play Store insists on each app being fully updated to suit the latest Android on the phone. Sure I can understand how this might be good IT practice. But Ive got lots of apps that run perfectly fine on my recent phone (because I've brought them forward with Smart-Switch when updating my phone), even though they aren't now available to me for a new download.

A friend of mine praised aptoid store application,
from which I could download HP PRIME PRO two years ago. I am not sure if it is still available there. Regards, Gil |

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
I have found that if I use this old link (pasted from the forum):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...calculator Google Play will actually tell me the HP Prime Pro is not available* for this device because it was written for an older Android (i.e. Android is not backward-compatible). Whereas if I simply search for it in Google Play, Google Play will pretend it simply does not exist*. *(Or show it, if I were on that older Android, I guess) Note: I'm not sure that that link would update, if the App were to be updated in the future. Unless you have the right Android, its been absent for over 9 months now. Stephen Lewkowicz (G1CMZ) https://my.numworks.com/python/steveg1cmz |

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
When I change phones, I'm always going Samsung to Samsung and I use the Smartswitch App to bring over all settings, data and Apps. So I've got quite a number of still functional apps which have ported through several phones, which have long disappeared from Google Play.
I don't have Prime Pro in this way because I never kept it installed between phones. But I have apps like go25c and Touch15i. Does that lead to any insight? |

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
I bought the HP Prime G2 a few months ago. Love it
I had the same question for my Samsung S23 Ultra as the play store says not compatible with the S23. |

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
it might be worth under the same account on play store go to manage apps, select, not installed or your apps equivalent. scroll through apps and with a bit of luck it might list your PrimePro and let you install it.

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
Thanks to this thread I discovered that an Android app is now listed again (and the older apps are listed more clearly too):
https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-22417.html The new version is 2.2, but there has been no announcement of it's functionality yet Stephen Lewkowicz (G1CMZ) https://my.numworks.com/python/steveg1cmz |

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
Good news!
My latest Moto g14 readily lists both old versions (pro and lite) rather than hiding them - they are unavailable. But Moravia have released have released a new version of Pro. Even better, there is a Python App, although initial attempts to use this have been unsuccessful. Update: Well, Google showed all 3 versions yesterday, now it only shows the one I installed. RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
The new HP Prime Pro v2.2 now shows in the Google Play Store and says compatible with both my Samsung S23 Ultra and my S9. Haven't installed yet .. CAN $35.
Why is install size only 14MB compared to older Pro V2.1 which is 49MB? Does this version support communication with the HP Prime toolkit for data/app transfer? |

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
Reports so far suggest that connectivity with PC's is not working.
https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-22464.html Cut and paste works for importing code on Android, but that code does not run. Stephen Lewkowicz (G1CMZ) https://my.numworks.com/python/steveg1cmz |

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
Confirmed...
On a new Android, I am not seeing the new HP Prime Pro v2.2. I am also not seeing the old HP Prime Pro v2.1 or the old Lite version. If you already downloaded it, the download can be used until it crashes so badly that it needs a reinstall. Stephen Lewkowicz (G1CMZ) https://my.numworks.com/python/steveg1cmz |

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
I myself decided based on comments here to not try it out. I don't understand why Moravia even distributed V2.2 since they obviously don't seem to want to provide any real support for it.

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
I wonder if it was released in error, without connectivity to conn kit it is kinda useless. I emailed support and they told me to reinstalled firmware lol. I did get a refund through the play store ?i will wait for. official release

RE: Is HP Prime Pro on Play Store? (hit and miss)
I was wondering that too.
There was a brief mention that it was planned "in the next few weeks"* in this thread, but I did not see any announcement that it had happened. https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-22085.html Nearly £20 for about one weeks use is too expensive! But I guess is cheaper for Moravia than having to employ testers. (*Written 08-07-2024, whichever language forum dates are in) Stephen Lewkowicz (G1CMZ) https://my.numworks.com/python/steveg1cmz |
