Electronic Slide Rules ‘72-79: The book I can’t put down!
***NOTE TO MODERATORS***
If this post is in the wrong forum, please shift it to the appropriate forum. Hi all. Every once in a while you come across the book you cannot put down! In the latter part of the 70s, for me (and I’m sure it was or is for collectors here), the Sipple & Sipple book, Programmable Calculators). If you have a copy, it probably was the paperback edition. Or, if you’re fortunate enough, you uncovered the hardback copy. Fast forward to now. Thanks to Facebook post on the Vintage Calculators page, a few days ago, I caught in on the newest variation, the Michael V. Konshak encyclopedic Electronic Slide Rule Calculators 1973-1979… History definitely repeats as I'm sure you'll experience this one as book you can't put down. Even moreso, combined with Katie Wasserman's Vintage Calculator website to find manuals for virtually most of the calcs in Michael's book, his book is assuredly the book you cannot stop reading. Yes, got the book. Couldn't put it down until I read it all.
Sorry, I don't do the FB thing. That's for sheeple IMHO. Love the book's topic, of course. But be aware of errors in the book, and very poor quality pictures. Still, it's worth it to support these ventures. -J |

Sorry, I’m having a hard time finding that book on Amazon or abebooks. Could you post an ISBN, please? FWIW, Michael V. Konshak is the curator at https://www.sliderulemuseum.com/ |
