HP-41CV does not power on
Hi all, I own a HP-41CV calculator that I bought brand new in the 80's. I always took great care, and the calculator still looks brand new. Unfortunately about 10 years ago it never was able to power on. I would like to "revive" it as it is an iconic model. Any trick I could try? If not, are there any steps to follow to check internals? Thanks

Have you checked the obvious things? Batteries oriented properly, battery tabs aren't corroded, etc.

May want to check: https://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap...cgi?read=2

I assume that all of those obvious factors were fine, but since I did this long time ago I will recheck. Regarding corrosion I will take a picture of the battery contacts and upload it here to get feedback. I'm traveling now, but as soon as I get hold of the calculator I will post back. Thanks.

I suggest you put your calculator in the hand of a specialist. Just find a local specialist. Where are you? Mainland EU?

Yes, I'm aware of that site. Hope I won't need to spend that kind of money

I agree, but before doing that I want to try the obvious once again, or at least see if I can identify the faulty part, if there is one. No, I'm overseas, but plan to travel to the US soon.
